New York’s Home of Quality Goldendoodles
We do not have any puppies at this time.
We have decided to take a break from breeding and probably won’t have a litter until at least 2025. Check back for updates!!
If you’d like something sooner, please check out the Goldendoodle Association of North America
GENERAL INFO- We do selections at 7 -8 weeks so we can better match puppy temperament with owner(s). please keep this in mind when applying as we don’t encourage selecting a puppy based on color.
Goldendoodle puppies at Deans Creek Doodles are raised in home, amongst the busyness of a typical household. We live on a quiet dead-end street where someone is always home to take care of the pups if needed. The family plays a part in raising the puppies.
About Deans Creek Doodles’ Puppies
Most puppies should be medium in size 35-45 lbs with a few outliers (probably- 30lbs smallest & 55lbs largest). There are no guarantees in regards to the size of the puppy but we do our best to estimate based on growth rate and previous litters
Various colors are possible such as red, cream, apricot, dark grey (born black), maybe brown. About half should be apricot (medium to red). Some puppies may have white markings (Parti or Abstact).
ALL puppies are coat tested to have a more accurate estimate of individual shedding possibilities. To learn more about coat traits and allergies click HERE.
Puppies will be raised in home and with Puppy Culture which includes early stimulation, exposure to novel items, and sounds which helps result in well-rounded puppies. Puppies will be introduced to basic commands, including sit, down, wait, not jumping up, and taking food nicely. They will NEED additional training after they get home. Please note that despite the amount of training we do, they are still puppies, and they are babies. They will need consistency and a continuation of training after they leave Deans Creek Doodles. Some of Deans Creek Doodles’ puppies, who have continued on with more training, have become facility dogs, therapy dogs and a service dog.
Puppies ARE a lot of work!
Not everyone has the experience to do continued training and you may need to consult an outside professional for help with working with your puppy. The training we do teaches the puppies to obey us so if you are an inexperienced handler expect to need outside help.
All healthy Goldendoodle puppies are high energy. They tend to settle down around two years of age. If you want an extremely calm puppy, do not get a goldendoodle. That said, these dogs are quick to learn things, but they also are smart. Sometimes smarter than you can imagine. They are great companions for individuals and families looking for an active dog. You will need continue work on things like impulse control, so they do not steal things such as items off the counter, shoes, and laundry. Impulse control will also help with not jumping up on people. The more training you do at an early age, the easier your puppy will be to manage throughout life.
Puppies will cry, bark, whine, and have accidents. They are babies and they are still learning. More consistency in training will help here too. You need to expect to have to get up during the night to let the puppy go to the bathroom. You need to expect interruptions in your daily schedule, you need to expect things to get chewed if you leave them out. Some puppies may sleep through the night from day one, but do not expect this! Puppies do not understand that you were up late for whatever reason – they need to go potty when they need to go!
If you do not think you can handle these things such as additional training, getting up to let a puppy out, the crazy puppy stage, things getting chewed, interruptions, and the financial cost of training and grooming, please do not get a puppy.
